Baroque~

Baroque period focuses on applying techniques that makes immobile pictures come to life. Motion is emphasized in paintings ans sculptures during this era. This era is composed of 5 elements motion, time, light, space and theatricality.

The artwork above entitle "Happy Accidents of Swing" by Jean-Honore Fragonard is a vivid example of a painting in the Baroque period. Motion is present because we can seethe movement of the girl and her dress. There's theatricality because the viewers can see the story behind the painting. Of all the painting in this era this is my favorite because realistic approach of the artist in the current scenario.

This era I don't think I mean before studying this period I haven't think or did some artwork with lots of motion with drama. But having learned that it is really amazing how you connect things like that to show a story in a still image, that's so amazing! I want to apply this more styles or techniques of this era on my other artworks.

Renaissance

In Renaissance in this era happened the combination of different style like supreme realism. And focusing in every detail of the paintings in this era, that every not all but has meaning on it.  And also the manuscript illumination.  Here also the artists are more or focused more on humans and it is realistic or realistic because every painting they made had connection or story based on real life. This period is relevant in present expression in art because in this era, in this time people or the artists started to put in their artworks what they feel and what happened in reality by expressing it or doing an artwork. Relevant for saying that people is now open, they really do and give message in every art that they do. And there’s always a story behind every artworks.

I must say that this period has influence me in terms that I do draw or do an artwork sometimes based on what I feel, it’s just that I don’t put too much detail having tons of messages in an artwork, maybe sometimes but not all. In this period most of the things also that or the people or encouraging the artists to made tons of artworks are the patrons that badly want something as they can call as their property. There’s a lot of new things and styles that has been made and discovered in this period, lots of combinations. In this period artists has this kind of playful mind that creates a really something artworks. Mostly artworks are dramatic and intense. And about people.

Christian Art

Christian art is more on the structures, architectures and paintings. It is so cool that people those days are really expressive on how they give importance to God though not really because we know that Christians had been kept for so long because they are not allowed in the society until Emperor Constantine accepted it. And when they have been what can we call this? Approved or accepted by the society because of hiding for so long they expressed their being religious in making structures such as cathedrals, churches and basilicas. Well I don’t think Christian Art has an influence on my style but in ideas mostly , I think more on with some religious stuffs or God’s words. But in the style itself I think no. Well I think it’s hard to see it but maybe some too, just a little?

But I would like to try Christian art’s style. It won’t be easy but I think it will be good. Expressing more of you being religious or showing your love to God with art is so awesome. The artworks in this era is so beautiful and still applied in this time. Having them make such good architecture that’s really unbelievable! Ohh!And they don’t really  focus on Jesus Christ but with the saints and churches. They even have the four evangelist and each have own representation. We have here Emperor Constantine and his mother like implying Jesus Christ and his mother Mary. Christian art is depicting things in the bible.

Ancient and Classical Arts

In Ancient arts my impression was like it's more kiddo-like but  amazing arts.Kiddo-like because people in this era still don't know how to do realistic art I mean copying or drawing the same image as they see it using lines. But instead they draw on how they do it, they don't care about it looks they just need the memories or notes to remember. While in Classical here was more on perfect humans and gods and goddesses are the ones really I'm thinking whenever I heard Greece or Rome. Also their awesome structures they always have the big ones. These two era's may have influence on my personal style but not so much.Maybe more on Ancient I don't draw too much or like Greeks and Romans.Well I like more the naturalism basically it's just natural though it just stay in this nature and this universe.

Both periods have human as their subject matter. Though Ancient art is more on cave painting and Classical art is more on sculptures. Both do or make their subject come out of an artwork differently.Well, for me of course it will be good to have a combined artwork form these two era but the thing is, it's not that easy I think the needs of conceptualizing on how to combined the two will be up first. It will b easy to make an artwork inspired by these two if the artist himself is really into it and love doing the style these two era have.It will not just be easy if they are just trying even if they don't want. Still trying something new or adopting new things is a good thing because it will challenge you and your creativity.
